Lee Anne has always had a passion for art. It began early when her parents recognized something exceptional about her drawings and decided to enroll her in art classes at the age of five. Her art was sidelined for many years giving way to the pursuit of other interests. It was later at university, while studying Art History that a light was rekindled and she was drawn back into art from a new perspective. After graduating from university she began what became a long and rewarding career in public education. As an elementary teacher she was fascinated by how the creative process occurred so naturally in her young students. She observed how intuitively and spontaneously they engaged in their exploration of media, producing beautiful lines and colour. This interest in children's art led her to continue her studies in Art Education . She completed her post graduate work at The University of Ottawa. Lee Anne continued to nurture her students in the classroom while at the same time provided Teacher Education in the role of associate teacher for the faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa. She was honoured to be named 'Teacher of the Year' by Scholar's Choice and a finalist for MBNA's National Capital Educator's Award.
